Q10:Can women wearing intrauterine metal IUD receive rehabilitation treatment of pelvic floor muscles?

Answer:

Yes, they can use our devices for the treatments of pelvic floor muscle training. Through vaginal treatment probe, mild low frequency electrical pulses are used to stimulate the muscle groups of levator ani, puborectalis and other related muscles, which help strengthening and gaining the ability to control of these muscle groups. The mini electrical current only circulates around the probe and the muscles surrounding it, it has no affects to the intrauterine metal IUD, or other organs of the body.  However, it is not recommended that the electrodes should be place to the skin where metal parts are implanted inside the body.
